Travelers, at one time only provided Mine Subsidence insurance on their High Value Homeowners policy.

Recently, this has been changed, so that any homeowner policy can include the mine subsidence insurance.   So for those individuals that purchase the coverage directly from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, that have a Travelers homeowners policy, they can incorporate this coverage into their homeowners insurance program, and eliminate the state program.

Of course, those policyholders who do not have mine subsidence insurance now but do want to purchase this important coverage, can simply add it to their existing Travelers insurance policy
