In addition to the amount of insurance (liability limit), the insurer will pay on behalf of an insured person, at the request of the insurance company:
- all defense costs
- up to $50 a day for loss of earnings, but not other income, because of attendance at hearings or trials
- other reasonable expenses incurred
- premiums on appeal bonds and bonds to release attachments in any suit, the insurer defends
- interest accruing after a judgement is entered in any suit the insurer defends.
The insurer's duty ends when they offer to pay that part of the judgement which does not exceed the amount of insurance (liability limit).
