An Umbrella Liability policy, provides an extra "Blanket" of liability coverage over your general liability, business automobile, and employers liability under a workers compensation policy.
Because there is no standard form for umbrella liability insurance, each company offering this coverage files its own independently developed form. Consequently, no two umbrella policies are exactly alike, and in fact, there are often considerable differences between one contract and another.
